Lower court denies Nupur Talwar bail; fresh plea in SC

Dentist Nupur Talwar today moved the Supreme Court seeking bail in the case of the twin murders of his daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj four years ago in Noida.

Nupur, who is in judicial custody, file a fresh plea for bail pending petition before the apex court in which he sought review of the decision giving the go ahead to the criminal prosecution against him and Rajesh Talwar married his dentist.

Talwars' attorney clarified that they are now challenged to a Ghaziabad court giving bail in Aarushi's mother.

"In fact, an application for bail has been filed with the petition pending evaluation which is likely to be listed for hearing on Friday," their counsel said.

The top court on March 15 decided to hear in open court petition filed by the dentist couple seeking review of its order on January 6 where it was clear the decks for testing some of the case killing by dismissing their plea to conquer criminal proceedings against them.

In between, a non-bailable warrant was provided by the Special Court of CBI in Ghaziabad after the Allahabad High Court has withdrawn the protection given to him.

Nupur then that is approached at the top court seeking bail and protection from arrest.

However, the apex court on April 27 direct him to surrender on April 30 before the trial court in Ghaziabad.

After the CBI court dismissed his plea, he was sent to judicial custody.

Earlier today, a CBI court rejected his bail in 2008 murders of his teenaged daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj.
