Batting great Rahul Dravid, the second most prolific batsman in the history of the game and middle to India's stronghold for years, today bid adieu to Test cricket, reducing the curtains on a beautiful 16-year career.

My junior coaches in Bangalore and at various junior national camps instilled in me a strong love for the game always stayed with me, "said Dravid who was BCCI president N Srinivasan and former captain Anil Kumble flanked.
"My coaches at international level have added to my craft and helped shape my personality The physiotherapists and trainers working hard to fit me -. No easy task - and allowed me to play until late in my 30s.
"The selectors, who rarely get any credit in India, occasionally had more confidence in me than I had in myself and I am grateful. The different captains I played under the leadership offered me and inspired me. Most of all I have to thank the teams I played with. "
Dravid said he left the stage with wonderful memories he shared with his teammates, who are legends of the game.
