Don’t make Gods of our hockey players

DGCA raps Kingfisher for not adhering to schedules

Struggling to stay afloat in a number of canceled flights, Kingfisher Airlines had on Tuesday rapped the DGCA that by adhering to its flight schedules, but aviation regulator did not have clear plans to take any punitive action against it for a moment.

"Let's not talk about punitive action at this time. We are more interested to see the airline back on its feet. Bhushan asked the DGCA would consider action against the Kingfisher for ignoring the Aircraft Rules did not take the prior consent of the heavy cut its flights.

Since more than 40 flights were canceled across the country on Tuesday, the airline announced that the DGCA had 28 operational aircraft out of 64 planes in November last year.

Israel embassy blast a terror strike, target was envoy's wife: Chidambaram

Homs, Syria's third largest city has become the focus of both resistance and revenge is a 11-month uprising, as many areas have fallen under the control of an increasingly bold army defectors who want to lower the power once.

The last operation, which began on Saturday, government forces have unleashed a relentless attack on Homs, shelling residential areas as they try to stamp out any resistance and retake control of the city of 1 million people.

United Nations estimates that 5,400 people have been killed since the uprising began in Syria in March. But the number has since January, when the United Nations stopped counting because of the deteriorating security situation to keep the figures.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said Wednesday plans to send observers to the Arab League head back to Syria and raised the possibility that a joint mission to the United Nations.

UN chief did not give specifics, but the idea seems designed to give impetus to the regional group's mission was pulled over the previous state because of security concerns.

"In the coming days, we will further consult the Council before fleshing out the details," Ban said. "We are ready to help in any way that will contribute towards the improvement of the ground."

Ban also reiterated his "deep regret" over the Council's ability to speak with one voice to end the bloodshed. China and Russia used their veto power to block the Security Council resolution on Saturday to support the Arab League peace plan, which calls for Assad to step aside.

Lack of unity of the council, Ban said the Syrian government has been encouraged to intensify their attacks against civilians.

"Thousands were killed in cold blood, damages claims, President Assad of Syria to talk to people," Ban said. "I am afraid that we are witnessing the terrible brutality of Homs, with a firing heavy weapons into civilian neighborhoods, gloomy to announce the worse to come."
