Lawyer accused of manipulating records

High-profile Auckland lawyer fights to keep his name secret in the same accusations he kaavaroida and consists of records collected to justify listening to the customer Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Committee forward.

The lawyer has taken her to the High Court, and the just-released Right Decision Kit Toogood has continued interim name suppression until Friday afternoon.

The decision reveals that the case involves allegations that the lawyer had to manipulate and manufacture of the record. Said the lawyer claims to cover a number of serious indictable offenses punishable by substantial prison terms.

The lawyer denies the allegations and told the High Court that an expert in the field, the cost of the evaluator, and a non-practicing consultant, which was priced at the customer file they were all confirmed the appropriateness of the amount charged to the complainant.

Lawyers said that he had worked as an assistant in some of New Zealand's high profile and legally significant cases, and that his personal reputation would be tarnished by the allegations. He also said his family would be detrimental.

In his ruling Justice Toogood said she was not convinced that the concerns of the lawyer to compensate for the general interest of open justice.

''I like the proposal, the applicant, his professional colleagues, and members of his family is suffering irreparable harm to the publication of allegations and proceedings in this Court and the Tribunal has been exaggerated.

"It does not seem to me that the thing is that the moment could not be adequate measures to protect the welfare of relatives in other ways.''

Lawyer's claim to a high-profile did not help his cause right Toogood said.

''He is not entitled to be treated differently, and this makes what the junior person who does not have a public profile.''

Toogood said the right to court hearings must be public confidence in the work of lawyers.

He said the publication of the name of the lawyer would be prohibited until the four p.m. this Friday to give him the opportunity to make a complaint.
